High 5 for Friday

What a great week it has been and going to be a great weekend!!!! Friday night is my annual GirlFriend Christmas Party at my house where we play Dirty Santa, eat good finger foods and maybe sip some wine and Saturday is Maddie's 5th Birthday Tea party!!!!! Pictures for sure next week!

3.  My Momma had her 60th Birthday this week and I had it put on our local Pizza Hut sign!!!! LOL, Love ya Mom!


4. Maddie's Dance Class danced at a high school ball game this week! It was Christmas themed and her group danced to Frosty the Snowman!

Weekend Wrap-up

This weekend has been a good one, busy, but good!!!  On Friday night we laid low, not much going on.  Everyone was just starting to get over the flu so we didn't want to mess with the healing process!  And on Saturday was our little town's Christmas parade!  Jessica and I decided we would ride one of our Rangers in it and let the kids ride.  We rode her and JT's Ranger.  She had it decorated so cute and festive.  It rained all morning and just in time for the parade to start it quit raining!!! Woo Hoo!  The kids loved it and Maddie and Zaylee was waving and saying Merry Christmas to everyone!  Maddie would see one of her classmates and she would get so excited!

Saturday night was Chris's work Christmas party at BrickYard Cafe in Bowling Green.  It was so good. I really wanted to make a picture of my food, but figured they wouldn't understand when I said it was for my blog!! LOL But just trust me it was good, I had Cannelloni Chicken.  The restaurant is an Italian place.  Chris had New York Strip, which he said was very tasty.  The kids stayed all night with Chris' s Aunt and Uncle and they took them to a Fun Center.  This place has bowling, inflatables, black light mini golf, skating rink.  Maddie had never been before and she loved it.  On Sunday that is all she talked about!!!!


We had one of Christmas dinners yesterday, more to come on that one.....

Just Brush Your Teeth

Carter HATES to brush his teeth!!! We have war every morning.  I ask him do you remember when you had to get 3 shots in the mouth last time you went to the dentist and you hated them, well you are going to have to get 3 more if you don't brush and brush GOOD!!  Yeah he has already had 4 fillings!!!!! They are in his baby teeth, but our dentist recommended filling them since it will be at least 3-4 years before he loses them.  They are in the back in his molars. 
I mean we have all out war over brushing teeth!!! Maybe it is a boy thing, I have no idea but it drives me bonkers!! Maddie is a piece of cake, she even still lets me brush teeth, which I don't mind because I know that they are being brushed good. I am very anal about teeth!!!! After wearing spacers, braces and a retainer for a total of 3 1/2 years I am picky about teeth!!!!  So I had to get creative and Jingle came to the rescue!! At least I hope he will be, this morning wasn't too bad, he did brush but still fussed some.  I guess Santa will have to send a note back to KY with Jingle!

The Sick Bug

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Ours was just okay.  I had 2 sick babies this weekend. Carter missed school on Friday.  He woke up with a temp of 102.  Maddie was fine. I took her to school and made an appointment for him.  They first tested him for strep and it was negative, then came the ever so lovely flu test.  Have you ever been tested for the flu?  Well it sucks, to put it quite frank.  A q-tip swab up in your nose as far as they can stick it! Carter was screaming and after it was all over he said just give me a shot next time! Bless him.  It came back positive! We have the flu.  Thankfully he is feeling better and went back to school today.  Maddie woke up on Monday with a fever and crying with her ear.  I called the pediatrician's office and they called her in an antibiotic so that we wouldn't have to come in, thank God!  However our school's attendance has been bad for the last few days.  In Carter's class yesterday there was 8 out and and several in Maddie's as well.  I forsee a school closure due to flu.  One of the neighboring counties dismissed yesterday due to absences from students having the flu/sickness.

Lots of Random

I don't really have a lot going on right now.  In December...shew wee look out Lucy, it is cram packed!!! I have something going on every weekend and at least one event every week, sometimes 2. But I love it and wouldn't have it any other way! I cannot wait for my kids to be out of school!!! I am taking off work the 26th, 27th, 28th of December. So I will be off 10 days in a row!!! I will be CrAzy....and Chris will be off too....be sure to check to the obits we might kill each other!!! LOL

I am almost finished with all my Christmas shopping. I have a few stocking stuffer gifts, candy to pick up, and my Daddy!!! He is the hardest person to buy for!!! He has everything, doesn't need any clothing.  He hunts and fishes but has all the gear to go with it!! What do you get the guy!? Suggestions please!!!!!

I can't wait to put my tree up this weekend!!! I am getting gitty to see all my ornaments!!  I forget from year to year what they all look like!

This weekend is a neighboring county's Christmas parade, and it is the largest parade in KY at night!  My Dad works for Coca-Cola (for 38 years) and always drives a truck in the parade, and so the kids get to ride in it and hand out the little cokes! They love it!

Jingle got all jacked-up on sugar and thought he needed to open all the cabinet doors in the kitchen!!!

Hello My Peeps!

Hello beautiful people! I hope each and every one of you had a very Thankful and Blessed Thanksgiving. I know I sure did.  However, my sister and her family was unable to attend because my niece had strep throat and was running a fever! But she is feeling much better now.  My mom and I did a little Black Friday shopping at Wal-Mart.  We went to a store that is in a smaller town and it wasn't as crazy as some of the larger ones!! I have been hearing stories of some stores having fights and people being arrested!! That is just nuts!!! I am happy to say we didn't get into any fights nor did we get arrested! I did score an Ipad 2!! Woot Woot!!! I am excited, but for some reason I have barely got to use it, I think I know why and their names are Chris, Carter and Maddie! :)

I have got 2 of my Christmas trees up; the ones in Carter and Maddie's room.  They were so excited when I told them we could decorate. Hoping to get my tree up in the living room this weekend.

Also our little elf is back!! Jingle made his grand appearance on Monday he had toilet papered the Christmas trees!!! I will be sure and post all of his mischief he gets himself into!

We also was able to visit the jolly guy himself this weekend!!! The kids put their orders in on what they are wishing for this year!
