We have been...........

Very busy here lately!!!!! Just to bring you up to pare of where we have been and what all I have been involved in....



Jessica and I once again coordinated the Pumpkin Festival 5k in our little hometown.  We had around 50 more runners this year than last!! It was a great success! But we can't take all the credit it would not be possible without all of our generous sponsors and wonderful volunteers!!!! Many thanks to you all!!!



I won my age group...how I have no idea!!! My running hadn't been much in the past few weeks due to getting ready for the race. And I ran my slowest 5K ever!!! 28:06.
However Carter was Mr Speedy!! He Pr'ed almost 5 minutes from last years race and Pr'ed 2:05 in general with a 23:19.!! He got second in his age group!! Super proud momma!!!! I love this picture of him, that is a look of determination and both feet off the ground!!!

During Fall Break we took a little over night trip South and went to Nashville to stay over night in a hotel with an indoor pool and then to Bridgestone Arena to Disney's Princess on Ice!  The kids loved it!!!!






This little encounter with Mickey makes us even more excited to visit him next summer at his house!!!!

And this past weekend we were lucky enough to go back to Nashville to see the Country Music Entertainer of the Year!!! Mr Sexy himself...Luke Bryan!!!! OMG, he is one hottttttt man!!!! Florida Georgia Line and Thompson Square opened for him in Bridgestone Arena!  They were awesome as well. I love FGL.  Their new single Stay is originally written by my hometown boys Black Stone Cherry!!! They are great entertainers as well. And Mr Luke, well he rightfully holds that title of Entertainer of the Year, because when I say he puts on a hell of a show you better believe me!!

Looking forward to this coming up weekend a little Rzr riding in eastern KY, in the edge of TN.  The trees and colors should be amazing!!!

Weekend Review

The weekend was a laid back, low-key one! Which I so enjoy on occasion! Friday night we did NOTHING!!! It was so nice to not have anything going on.  Saturday we got up and got to moving pretty early. 
Maddie and I went for a manicure first thing so we wouldn't have to wait.  Carter had a basketball game at 1:00.  Chris skipped out on his game so he could run to Ashley Furniture and pick up his new bunk beds!  After the game Carter was so excited to get  home to see his new beds!!! They are full on the bottom and twin on the top.  Of course he wanted to sleep on them that night,  I didn't have any full size sheets other than pink polka-dots.  You know how well that went over!! So what does Super Mom do, makes a flying trip to Wal-Mart to get some boy sheets! While I was there I got a bookcase that he had been needing for quite some time.  I didn't want to spend to much money on it, so this serves the purpose just fine.  And guess what, not one single picture!!! Promise I will post some tomorrow!!!

I found some material while at Wal-Mart to get quilted so I can have him a quilt made for the beds.  I want a quilted comforter instead of a regular comforter.

The past 2 nights Carter has slept on the top bunk and Maddie on the bottom, it is the cutest thing ever!

My Daddy finished Maddie's bunkbeds for her babies! Is it not the cutest thing!! She has played with it all weekend!

Weekend Post!!!!

We had a great weekend!!!! Friday night consisted of getting our taxes prepared, which I was very pleased with, now just ready for the refund. However they can't be actually filed until the middle of February and we won't received the refund until the middle to the end of March.  Uncle Sam wants his money pronto, but takes his own precious time when it comes to giving us our money!!! But I am not complaining at least we aren't having to pay in!

Saturday Carter had a ball game and his team won!!!! 10-2, he scored 6 points!! I am so proud of him!

After the ball game we went riding!! It was such a perfect day! We rode at Jessica and JT's house and it is so pretty due to most of their land is on the Green River, here is a little recap of our day!!! If you follow me on IG you probably have already seen some of these!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Tuesday! I hope yall had a good weekend! Our's was pretty low key.  On Friday night the four of us and my parents went to Rafferty's to eat. And man it was some good eating.  Rafferty's has become our favorite place here lately. Chris loves the ribs and I love their salads!

On Saturday Carter had his first ball game.  He scored the only 4 points for his team!!! But they lost 9-4.  I love watching 1st and 2nd graders play.  They will walk with the ball, double dribble and sometime take it away from their own teammate.  Carter actually made 3 baskets, he just shot the first one at the wrong goal :(  He along with his teammates did so good!! Sorry no pictures!

Satruday night we played some cards with friends and hung out for a while which was a lot of fun. Again no pictures!!!

Sunday morning we had a little bit of snow.  However it didn't last very long.  The kids had stayed all night with my parents and they played in it.  However Mama did take pictures!!! Yay Nana!







Sunday was spent being lazy and watching the Superbowl and the commercials. I loved the farming one and the baby Clydesdale from Budweiser.

Weekend Wrap-up

This weekend has been a good one, busy, but good!!!  On Friday night we laid low, not much going on.  Everyone was just starting to get over the flu so we didn't want to mess with the healing process!  And on Saturday was our little town's Christmas parade!  Jessica and I decided we would ride one of our Rangers in it and let the kids ride.  We rode her and JT's Ranger.  She had it decorated so cute and festive.  It rained all morning and just in time for the parade to start it quit raining!!! Woo Hoo!  The kids loved it and Maddie and Zaylee was waving and saying Merry Christmas to everyone!  Maddie would see one of her classmates and she would get so excited!

Saturday night was Chris's work Christmas party at BrickYard Cafe in Bowling Green.  It was so good. I really wanted to make a picture of my food, but figured they wouldn't understand when I said it was for my blog!! LOL But just trust me it was good, I had Cannelloni Chicken.  The restaurant is an Italian place.  Chris had New York Strip, which he said was very tasty.  The kids stayed all night with Chris' s Aunt and Uncle and they took them to a Fun Center.  This place has bowling, inflatables, black light mini golf, skating rink.  Maddie had never been before and she loved it.  On Sunday that is all she talked about!!!!


We had one of Christmas dinners yesterday, more to come on that one.....

Weekend Recap!

Not much happened in my little corner this weekend. Chris had to work all weekend, and we much pretty much laid back and took it easy.  My highlight of the weekend was I got my hair done. Got me a few highlights!

Nashville 10 miler

On Saturday morning I was up bright and early (4:30 urgh) to get ready for my first 10 mile race.  When I first heard about this one, I thought ah this will be a piece of cake, I just ran 13.1 miles last weekend, no problem!!!  So I decided to go. Jessica and I and another running buddy Connie and her sister Sherri tore out to Goodlettsville, TN.  It is about an hour and 30 minute drive from my house.  Saturday morning was a little chilly.  I ran in capris, dri-tech tee and a running jacket that I could pull off and tie around my waist when I got hot.

Miles 1-6 was great!!!! I was feeling good, feeling fast, My average pace was 8:59.  Then my aches started to set in. At mile 9 my knee felt like it was going to break into!! I really think that I jumped into a long race 6 days after running a half marathon.  My body, joints, and muscles are not used to that.  I think if I ran that every weekend I would have done fine.  But I finished the race and that is all I care about!!! My time was 1:45:09, not very impressive, but I did it and I finished and I got a Hoodie sweatshirt!!!!
