And They're Off..........

Saturday was the fastest 2 minutes in sports entertainment and with the largest crowd in history and the first time the horse has ever won for the 19th post, can ya guess what it is.....the Kentucky Derby and guess what .....I was there!!!!! This makes our second year attending and it is been declared an annual event!!! I love it, everything about it!!! I love horses, the atmosphere, the betting (more about that later) and, of course the dresses and hats!!!! We were in the infield this year as we were last year, hopefully next year we will have us a nice box seat!!!! We went very simple dressed, since we were in the infield, but had some really pretty hats!!!

I placed one bet all day, and it was Race 11 which is the Derby! I don't go on statistics, odds, and all that good stuff, I base my bets on the jockey's shirts!! Horse #19, I'll Have Another's jockey had on a purple shirt and purple is one of my favorite colors, so I chose him!!! Plus I liked the name, you are probably thinking have another drink right...well the owner of the horse, his wife bakes cookies all the time and he lays on the couch saying I'll Have Another, so that is how he got his name. One of my very best friends, Jessica and her hubby went with us, we are the derby go-ers!!!!
