What about the other 2

If you didn't know tomorrow night the state of Kentucky will be at a Civil War with itself.  The University of Kentucky and the Louisville Cardinals play each other in the Final Four NCAA Tournament.  However there are two other teams playing as well, Kansas and Ohio St. If you have watched any news broadcast, ESPN, ABC, CBS, etc all you hear about is the great rivalry between UK and UL.  I am very happy for both of the KY teams, it is great that as small as a state that we are that we still have 2 of the 4 teams left in the tournament!!!  But the other two teams worked just as hard as the two KY teams.  I kind of feel sorry for them, because they have not received the media coverage as they deserve.  All the hype is over the great rivalry, and it is intensified even more being the Final Four.

I will be watching the game along with EVERYONE else in the great Bluegrass State and rooting for my team. My house is divided, so it can get pretty tense.  I am blue all the way, my husband is red, however I will cheer for UL when they are not playing KY as I will any KY team, him not so much!!!

SO I will cheer go KY, that should cover them both, however 99% of that people knows that means CATS!!!

Happy Monday to ya!!

I have had a wonderful weekend!!! On Saturday I went for a great run, 3.2 miles and quite hilly one at that!!! Saturday night, I cooked on the grill and then we watched Footloose, yes I am the only one who hadn't seen it yet!! I liked it but I have to confess I like the first one better!  Sunday after church, Chris and I and the kids went to Chuck E Cheese!!! I love it! Chris and I had a very heated skee ball game!!!

Also Ashlee (who is now a dot com, it is more fun when you sing it dotttt commmmmmm haha) made me a new button!!! Blog Love, check it out!!! High Five for Friday!!

Yipeeeee its that time again FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad that it is the weekend!!! So lets link up with Lauren for High Five for Friday over at From my Grey Desk!!! These are my top 5 of the week!!


1. I am going to get my hair done this afternoon!!! I have highlights of grey sprinkled through my hair!!!

2. I am so thankful that my son is understanding the idea of responsibilites. He gets up every morning around 6:15 and feeds his baby calf and then again every afternoon.

3. I love all the flowers and trees blooming! This is my Crabapple tree in our back yard, the picture really doesn't do it any justice, it is so pretty and pink!!

4. Another proud Momma moment, Carter and Chris are big time coon hunters!!! I am so glad that they have something that they can do together! This is Rowdy our new hound and then Charlie the puppy that yelps ALLLLLL the time!

Random Kind of Day

First of all this post is really random, I mean really random!!!!!

Did you see the sunrise this morning, it was beautiful!!! I was fixing our calf's bottle and while standing in the kitchen the sun was coming up and I thought how gorgeous!!!!

Went for a nice run today, it is really humid today. Not sure how much more I can run outside when it gets much warmer. I guess I will be back to the treadmill or when school is out I can run in the evenings, when my afternoons aren't so full with homework, studying and baths with the kids.  Erica and Ashlee joined me today.  Ashlee was all turtlefied and Erica is starting to run some!!! Woo Hoo go Erica!!!

Ashlee and I had a very sweet visitor today, Sarah from Crazy Beautiful Life, dropped by to pay us a little visit and was so nice to let us pick out some jewelry that she made herself!!! She is very talented and  her jewelry is very cute. She said she may set up an Etsy shop, but until then, drop by her blog and check out some of her jewelry.

Tonight we have nothing on the agenda and it feels so good!!!!

Run.... Forest..Run

Okay so I have embarked on a new endeavor in my life. RUNNING!!!! And I absolutely love it!! If someone would have told me at the beginning of the year that I could run 2 miles without stopping, I would have called you a bold face liar!!!! Well I did it yesterday!!! I have been on the elliptical since the first of the year, finally met my goal on there, 2.5 miles in 30 minutes.  So I got on the treadmill two weeks ago and I ran for 1.5 miles without stopping, walked for 4 minutes and then ran for another mile!!! I have done that probably 6-7 times. Yesterday I hit the open road!!! My new running partner and I took off through a subdivision close to my work and I did it!!! And it felt amazing!!! I am sure you will hear a lot more about my new addiction, so bare with me!!!

So get up off your shiney hiney (that is what Maddie calls her behind! ha) lace up those tennis shoes and go for a walk/run, trust me you WILL feel better!!!

One day a week I will post my times, distance of my runs each week!!

What a Good Weekend!

Well, this weekend was a Beaut!!!!!!

So Saturday, we got a new Coon Hound, Rowdy!

 We played outside and enjoyed the gorgegous weather!

On Saturday night, us and another couple hit the town in Nashvegas (Nashville) and had a great time, stopped and ate at Hooters on the way down, can't go wrong with their Chicken wings!! Hung out on 2nd Ave and Broadway. Had a good breakfast at the ever so faithful, Waffle House!!

Sunday was a repeat of Saturday, outside ALL day!!!! Moved dog pens, kids rode bikes, big wheels, played a little basketball and baseball. Cooked some chicken and shoulder on the grill!!

Sunday was also my big sister's birthday!! Happy Birthday Sister!!! She is thoroughly impressed that I gave her , her birthday present on the day of and not 2 weeks late like usual!!!

While visiting at my moms, the chitlins and the niece warmed up their egg hunting skills, they had 3 "practice" hunts to make sure they can be the prize winner come the "BIG" hunt!!! haha
